Beyond the Farm

Each spring, the College of Agriculture marks national Ag Week with a series of events for students to get to know more about this vital industry. Perhaps the pinnacle of the week is Beyond the Farm, a community event organized by Ag Council on the Campus Green adjacent to Jordan-Hare Stadium.
One of the College of Agriculture’s largest outreach events, Beyond the Farm features 30+ interactive booths, demonstrations and giveaway showcasing the many ways agriculture affects daily life.

The Ag Peer Mentors bring a personal, student-led dimension to Beyond the Farm, offering a glimpse into the community that defines the College of Agriculture. Made up of upperclassmen who serve as guides, advocates and role models, the group is dedicated to helping newer students find their footing within the college. Through one-on-one mentorship, campus involvement and a shared passion for agriculture, they foster connections that extend far beyond the classroom.
